Brass rubbing gives an excellent insight into history and historical costume. However, it should not be forgotten that people enjoy the activity! All age groups from approximately five years old upwards are intrigued by the opportunity to produce an attractive result quickly, without mess and hours of patience or particular artistic disposition.

The range of brass replicas offered by White Winds has been extended to include famous royalty, animals and other subjects of interest to children. These were not original brasses but nevertheless encourage people to partake in rubbing by offering them recognisable characters or scenes.

On the educational side, school and college parties, scout groups and the like, can be encouraged as a valid and interesting exercise in the study of history. Other potential customers include tourists, hobbyists and enthusiasts.
Many centre operators offer pre-rubbed brass rubbings (that they have done themselves) to customers who wish to purchase a well-finished item. White Winds offer hangers and presentation tubes to enhance the professional appearance.
