All of the brasses in this section are copies (some reduced in scale) taken from original memorial brasses.
Most of the brasses in this section are featured with a 'Granite' effect outer setting. However, a few have a fairly plain black coloured outer setting. Where this occurs, it is clearly indicated in the description of the brass. This is in fact the result of the brass moulding originating from a different source, whereby the mould was made using a different process. It DOES NOT effect the quality of either the brass, or of the resulting rubbings, but the facsimile itself is not quite so aesthetically pleasing. RIVETS AND CRACKS: Several people have been surprised to find rivets apparently protruding from their brasses, or evidence of cracks in the moulding. We should point out that in both instances, this is nothing to do with the manufacturing process; these are in fact faithful reproductions of rivets and blemishes in the original piece. (Since our brasses are actually made from bonded resin, they would not, in any event, be held in place with rivets!). PLEASE NOTE! Many of the images are shown in black and white outline. If you would like to seen what the brasses look like, the picture alongside this text (of the Yeoman) gives a good example.
The brasses in this section feature famous people, and have been created specifically for the purpose of brass rubbing, they were not taken from memorial brasses.
This wonderful range of mini collectibles presents replicas of a number of impressive brasses. They can be used for rubbing or wall decoration. Each one is provided with a wall hanging ringlet. Delivery is from stock.
