We can trace our origins back to the earliest days of brass rubbing, in the '60s, when a group of enthusiasts managed to get permission from many of Britain's churches and Cathedrals to make copies of their various memorial brasses, in case the brasses became damaged. In fact, having acquired the collections of a number of other companies (including the Westminster Abbey collection), White Winds now has access to the largest collection of original brass mouldings known to exist anywhere. We can now supply an impressive range of copies of brasses that are almost completely indistinguishable from the originals in every respect. We can also supply both paper (in a variety of sizes and colours) and waxes, made using the formulae created by the original groups of enthusiasts, tailored specifically to the purpose. |
